I record and perform as a solo entity and with the bands Everett Bros. Moving Company and Hope Anchor. My solo albums include A Tough Row to Hoe, Hangman’s Daughter, Little Epiphanies, Pull off the Petals, and with Anne Damassa, Fall Right In. I have been making music since the late 80s, and actively writing songs and composing since the early 90s. I’ve played with Alec K. Redfearn and the Eyesores, composed and recorded soundtrack music and songs for actor/director James Franco, done session work for Bonnie Prince Billy, Espers, and others, and composed and performed music for everything from circuses to dance pieces to choral hymns.
Among the instruments I claim to play: guitar, mandolin, bouzouki, violin, chin-cello, accordion, voice, some keys, and a little bass.
I play weddings and other special occasions, and have even written and arranged a couple processional marches. If you’re interested in hiring me and my musical cohorts for such an event, please contact me and let me know what you have in mind. The wedding repertoire has consisted variously of Greek, French, Scandinavian, Klezmer, Brazilian and other musics, plus originals and maybe even an arrangement of Paul McCartney’s Blackbird for strings, or Pachelbel’s Canon for 2 accordions (this costs extra).
